How Bodyment is Responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is a rapidly changing situation and we have heightened awareness at Bodyment of our responsibility to our employees, customers, and partners. We believe transparency on how Bodyment is responding to the pandemic is crucial. Whilst it is a developing situation we started taking precautions as soon as the news of the virus broke, and since then we have implemented several safety precautions. Bodyment’s main priority right now is the health and safety of our employees and our customers. Every single one of us must play a role in preparing ourselves and our families for potential lockdowns, daily disruptions and to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We strongly support the statement given by the World Health Organization that if we all do our part, we can help lessen the risk for everyone; young, old, healthy, sick.
Employees and Remote Work
Protecting our employees and their families is of the utmost importance. Our office and our fitting rooms have been closed and all Bodyment employees are working from the safety of their homes. During this time, we are continuing to pay our employees and provide extra support where needed. All in-person meetings and events have been cancelled and moved online.
We have urged all employees to carefully review the advice given by the WHO and provide continued advice and updates to employees directly. New OHS and hygiene protocols have been implemented since early January. We continue to update these as the situation develops and as more information on how the virus is transmitted is released.
As of Thursday, March 19th no Bodyment employees have been tested positive for COVID-19. Should a Bodyment employee test positive for the virus, they will receive up to two weeks' pay. If after this period they still are unfit for work, they will receive continued support.
Bodyment’s Support for Elderly Customers
Bodyment’s ultimate goal always has been, and always will be wellbeing. Recent reports show that the Coronavirus is not an equal opportunity virus, and those over 60 are in the higher risk category for severe illness and fatality. As such, we want to support over 60’s customers as much as possible. If you are over 60 and diagnosed with COVID-19 or influenza, we will provide you with a completely free pair of medical hosiery when recommended by your GP or the hospital. Please contact us!
Whilst there is no clear indication of how long the pandemic will last, Bodyment will continue to operate unless we are directly ordered by the government to cease business. As a result of the virus, our supply chain has been impacted and this has resulted in lower inventory levels than normal and over the coming weeks, stock shortages may occur. However, we will continue to provide alternative garments and brands where possible. If you need assistance, we are available via phone and email, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 1300 077 892.
We understand it is a very stressful and uncertain time, and we urge all Bodyment customers and their families to make their health and safety a priority;
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Use 70%+ alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- Sneeze and cough into a tissue or your elbow.
- Avoid crowds and standing near others - stay home if possible.
- Consult a health professional if you are unwell.
Stay safe, stay home, stay sanitized - Your Bodyment Team.
